New Zealand is to be the centre of the universe in future., so far as Dominion school maps of the world are concerned. Most of the maps in use at present show New Zealand as a very small speck in an obscure corner of the globe, where its position, relative to other parte of the world, cannot 'readily be seen. This does not meet with the approval of the Minister for Education, whose attention has been drawn to maps on which New Zealand is shown in the centre, and he has therefore issued instructions that all maps of the world used in schools should as far as possible be of this type, the old maps to be replaced as soon as opportunity arises.
