WOOL TRADE.
BETTER PROSPECTS AHEAD. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, August 9. The Daily Telegraph’s Bradford correspondent says' that many- export houses feel that good business will be done when the strike ends. Meanwhile everyone is awaiting the resumption of the Melbourne and Sydney sates, at which it has been decided to increase the August offerings by 20 per cent. This is an echo of a better demand. A fortnight ago at Sydney, Melbourne, and Geelong, colonial sellers, acting wisely, increased the supplies, and so are meeting the pressing demands of the trade. The lightness of the Continental stock is a strong feature of the trade.—A. and N.Z. Assn.
