Mr Gallagher, chairman of the Communist Party, speaking at the Labour Party Summer School, outlined the Party’s policy, and said that Communists believe in developing every wage troub’e with a view to creating the will for the power which will result in a working-class dictatorship. In no other way can capitalism be overthrown. The oniv guarantee for a peaceful revolution that he wou’d accept would be the disbandonment of the army, navy and police by capitalism. Mr Gallagher said he did not imagine that a Labour maority would mean a ncaceful polka into Socialism. Communists were the enemies of Mr MacDona’d’s socialism because it was based on the illusion that capitalism could he reformed into socialism. The Empire was devised to obtain cheap raw material and Imperialism was used for the deliberate corruption of the working-class leaders.
