WEDDING.

LYONS—HALL

A very pretty wedding took place at the Metliodist Church, Hanvera, on June 24t11, 1920," when Miss Alice Amelia, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Hall, of Hawera, was married to Mr Alexander Frederick Gordon, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. A Lions, of Auckland. 'The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful gown ol georgette and eire lace, caught at each side with roses of satin ribbon, felie wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and carried a lovely shower Ixiquet of white flowers and asparagus fern. Miss Nina Libeau, of Eltham, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid, and wore a dainty frock of apricot fhaired marocain and a hat ol black tulle with apricot trimmings and black streamers She carried a lovely boquet of apricot flowers and autumn leaves Mr Horace Dunn, of Eltham, carried out the duties of best men The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. J. Oxbrow. ~ After the ceremony a reception uas held at the “Carlton” dining rooms, where over seventy guests assembled at the wedding breakfast, and the usual toasts honoured. Later in the afternoon, amid showers of confetti, Air. and Mrs. Lyons left bv car for Palmerston North, the bride travelling in a fawn jacquard marocain costume with shoes and stockings to match, and wearing a smart nigger brown panne velvette hat.
