OPERA HOUSE —TO-NIGHT. “CORNERED.” “Cornered,” which is to be presented at the Opera House to-night, is an intensely dramatic story based on the subtle intricacies oi fate. The story deals with twins who have been separated in childhood and have grown up without knowing of each other’s exist, ence. One, heiress to millions; the other has known no other home than the underworld. The story thereafter is the revelation of a very clever plot which terminates in the sisters’ happy reunion. The double characterisation is portrayed by Marie Prevost.
ROLLER SKATING. The Royal Amusement Company opened oil Saturday last to a. large attendance at the skating rink. McDonald’s Orchestra was in attendance, and rendered an excellent programme of music. There will he three sessions daily, with the orchestra in attendance every evening. A beginners’ class will he held daily between 6.30 and 7.30 p.m. at a moderate charge of Is 6d, including skates. At the morning sessions children will he supplied with skates for 6d.
