IN BANKRUPTCY.
A PUBLIC EXAMINATION. At, Wanganui yesterday, before The Registrar of the Supreme Court (Mi. Morgan), Herbert Boagey, of 1 atea, builder, a bankrupt, was publicly examined. . . Mr IV. Izard (Crown Prosecutor) appeared for the D.0.A., alia Mr 1. O’Dea for the bankrupt. • j Boagey was adjudged a bankrupt in June last. At the meeting of creditors in Wanganui several creditors express'd dissatisfaction with the dealings ot the bankrupt, and a resolution was carried that lie submit .himself to a public examination. * , The bankrupt was questioned closely by Mr Izard as to liis dealings during the past two or three years, and particularly ns to a house contract for Mr Snratfc at Waverley. At the conclusion, Mr O’Dea said it was the weakest case he had ever seen, put forward foi a public examination. It was puiely a case of misfortune. The bankrupt had got behind, but lie continued contacting, in the hope that lie would be able up his losses. The Registrar declared that the bankrupt’s affairs had been sufficiently investigated.
