A message from Quebec states tihat the Lawn Tennis Association is hopeful of having the Australians play here after the Davis Cup matches in the United State®. Montreal dispatches state that the demand for tickets for the approaching Austral!a-Oanada match is unprecedented, necessitating the construction of a new stand, doubling tlie present capacity.—Aus.-N.Z. OTTAWA, August 6. A Montreal message state-s that the Australians, after observing the United States Davis Cup try-outs, scheduled for the Bth, instead of the 15th, will arrive here on the 10th to practice previous to the Canadian matches, for which Mr Walter Pate, honorary treasurer of the United States Tennis Association, has been appointed referee.
