INCOME TAX.
NEW MAXIMUM RATE. (BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 7. During the course of his reply to the debate on the Financial Statement, Mr Nosworthy, Minister for Finance, stated that in the new income tax scale the maximum rate (now to be 4s 6d in the will apply at £B7OO, instead of 10,000, as hitherto.
