WEDDING.
LYONS—HALL. A very pretty wedding took place at the Methodist Church, Hawera, on June 24, 1925, when Miss Alice Clernance Amelia, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs C. J. Hall, of Hawera, was married to Mr Alexander Freedrick Gordon, son of the fate Mr and Mrs G. A. Lyons, of Auckland. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful gown of georgette and cire lace, caught at each side with roses and satin ribbon. She were the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and carried a lovely shower oouquet of white flowers and asparagus fern. Miss Nina Libeau, of Eltliam, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid, and wore a dainty frock of apricot flowers and autumn leaves. Mr Horace Dunn, of Eltliam, carried out the duties of best man. The ceremony was performed by the Hev. W. J. Oxbrow. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Carlton Dining Rooms, where over seventy guests assembled at the wedding breakfast, and the usual toasts were honoured. Later in the afternoon, amid showers of confetti, Mr and Mrs Lyons left by car for Palmerston North, the bride travelling in, a fawn jacquard morocain costume, with shoes and stockings to match, and wearing a smart niggerbrown panne velvet hat.
