At Kitchener, Ontario, the Dominion Prime Minister, Ml- McKenzie King,, during his address, said : “As Canada is true to herself, and Canadians true to Canada’s highest interests, so will the Canadian citizenship mean most fo-r Empire citizenship. He asked: “Were we cut out of the Empire would Britain not be the first nation with which the Dominion would seek to co-operate?” •Referring to the suggestion of annexation bv the United States, he said he believed that both nations contributed to the happiness of mankind was greater under the existing conditions than was possible under any new arrangements. “As we stand to-day, we are in the position of an interpreter between two most formidable bodies of opinion in the world —American and British.”—Reuter.
