SUGGESTION TO DOMINIONS

Sir Wilfred Sugden requested that the Colonial Secretary should recommend to the Dominions the adoption by all their manufacturers of a trademark for the whole Empire, or for eaolr Dominion, and request their view’s in regard to a trademark for goods manufactured in Britain.
Mr. Amery, in reply, .said that lie doubted whether the suggestion, in the form i t was m ade, would be satis I actory, or a] practical m,ethiod of achieving tire object which both he and Sir W. Sugden iiad in view. Replying to a supplementary question,, Mr. Amery said he -did not wish to commit himself to any -specific? suggestion, but he -haired it would become possible for the people in Britain to know which were British -and Empire goods and which were not.—Reuter.
