George Edward Barker, aged who was discharged in the Supreme Court at Auckland after the grand jury had rejected a charge of manslaughter, appeared in the Police Court yesterday charged with being idle and disorderly. Chief Detective Cummings said Barker needed looking after. He was a drug addict. The magistrate adjourned the case for a year, warning the accused that he must stop taking drugs.—Press Assn.
