WHY?

Why is it the sea never gets any bigger ? This is a question about which men have always wondered. Thoughtful children and grownup people will be asking these questions again in a thousand years. It was asked and answered by the Hebrew preacher lorfg years ago (Ecclesiastes. 1,7) ■ “All the rivers run into the sea, yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return a°ain.” So we sec that this question is answered in the Bible. What happens is that the power of the sun draws up some of the water from the sea, and it is poured hack on the land in. the form of rain, which makes the rivers. Besides this, in many parts of the world, the sea. does get larger, because it wears away the land; but inother parts the land extends and the sea gets smaller.
