The Spanish .Directory has issued a communique, says the Madrid correspondent of the Times, categorically denying the alarming foreign press juniors about plots to assassinate King A If on so.
The Marquis de Estella (head of the Directory) saws: “By God’s grace no country in the world enjoys such material and spiritual peace as Spam today. This solid peace cannot be. disturbed by the chattering* of a few fools and malcontents.”
