REGULATING ’HUS TRAFFIC

WELLINGTON, July 31

Following the example of Auckland, the City Council has passed a by-law prohibiting ’bus traffic in some of the narrow streets in the centre of the city, anil limiting it to certain hours in othef cases. ’Buses must submit a time-table, and not start Amin any spot other than that prescribed.

WELLINGTON, July 31

The City Council has decided to raise a local loan of £50,000 in five instalments, at 5-} per cent., for housing purposes.
