PLAYERS DEALT WITH. PALMERSTON N., July 29. The Management Committee ot the Manawatu Rugby Union last evening suspended for three years A. Peebles, of the Woodville senior team, who had been ordered off in a match on Saturday between Old Boys and Woodville for rough play. The referee’s report stated that an Old Boys player was severely mauled bv the suspended man, who practically put a strangle grip around his throat and who was insensible when the latter got up. A caution ,was also issued to a Feuding junior who had been ordered oil for alleged illegal tactics in a match at Podding. A spectator at the same match, for misbehaviour was warned off the grounds for the remainder oi the season. A Jackeytown junior player, who was ordered off in a match on . Saturday, was suspended for one playing Saturday. The captain of the team, for insubordination, was suspended for the remainder of the season.
