The improvement in the condition of the child Mary Lee, who was injured in n motoring accident last Thursday, is .still continued. At the Hawera School on Saturday a meeting of the Taranaki Women Teachers’ Association was held. Miss Slattery (vice-president) was in the chair. 'The remits for the forthcoming conference were read and considered, and it was decided to support the motion of the Wellington branch to appoint an organiser to enlist the sympathy of the women teachers in the cause of education.
