HOCKEY
IN SCHOOLS. Some discussion has aHsen amongst the' hockey fans regarding the, introduction of hockey in the primary schools in Hawke’s Bay.. Rugby, at> jibe present time holds ©way. To stimulate enthusiasm for hockey in the schools is, unquestionably, the means whereby in time hockey will come back into its own. AS AN INDUCEMENT. I understand that the hockey enthusiasts of Napier are prepared to provide sticks and balls, and even go so far as to coach any- team or teams which are forthcoming. The stick game, as a sport, is equal to football. Lt is fast, and it brings forth many qualities that fotball does not. Each game' has its advantages and disadvantages, but the field of human, energy is large enough to provide material for ail classes of sport. Effort is tine key, and with effort in sport one opens the door leading to physical fitness, a condition admired by all, and acquired by- so few.
