WEDDING.

BOOKER—POWER. A quite hut pretty wedding was solemnised at the Eltham Catholic Church on June 30th, 1925, when Miss Ha nor a Thereosa, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Power, of Kaponga, was married to Mr. William Booker, only son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Booker, New Plymouth. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Father Nicholas Moore, assisted by Father James Moore. Mrs J. O’Hagen, of Eltham, played the Wedding March and rendered appropriate’ music throughout the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful gown of ivory satin morocain embroidered with pearls and draped with silver lace to one side, and caught with a large pearl ornament. Her veil of white tulle was held in place with a coronet of' orange blossom and pearls, and she carried an ivory bound prayer book. The bridesmaids were Miss May Booker and Miss Sheila. Coleman, the former wearing a dress of na] e blue figured morocain, and the latter a. dress of pale lavender morocain with cream trimmings. They both, carried beautiful bouquets of bot-licuse flowers and maidenhair fern.

Little Lily Kelly, niec e of the bride, made a very pretty little flower girl, and wore a. lovely dress of lemon satin morocain, trimmed with tiny blue rosebuds and silk lace. On her head she wore a white veil with a wreath of rosebuds, and carried a basket of violets and maindenhair fern. Mr. L. Shrimpton, of New Plymouth, carried out the duties of best man. After the ceremony an adjournment was made to the residence of the bride’s parents at Kaponga, where the wedding breakfast was partaken of, and the usual toasts wore honoured, the Rev. Father Moore presiding. Later in the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. 800 her left amid goo c | wishes of their friends en route (for Auckland, the bride wearing a fawn costume trimmed with fur with hat, and shoes to match.
