Communications have been partially restored. While the officials adopt a conservative estimate of the number of casualties, pending a de-taiJe-d investigation, pr-es»s cles*patolies unanimously indicate that the Loss of life is serious, particularly a* Nichiniolii. They estimate the deaths through drowning at Sepul alone as totalling 500 to 1000, with .50 drowned in the neighbourhood of Fnisan. — Reuter.
