Both he- and Falkiner were in good form on Saturday afternoon, when the best breaks were : McCouachy 131. 249 and 146.. Falkiner 291 and 341. 4 The totals at the end of the session were: McConnell v 17,207. Falkiner 16,789. There wa s a large attendance at the final session, which yielded interesting play. Though both men seemed to find, a- difficulty at times, Falkiner made the best break of 453, and passed McConachv at 17,305, but was unable to maintain the lead. The New Zealander pulled up the leeway, and ran out when Falkiner was 17.586. McConachv’s best breaks were 295, 289 and 106 (unfinished), and Falkiner’s were 133. 453 and 197.
