DEEP SEA CURRENTS.

IMPORTANT DISCOVERIES. Ocean discoveries of far-reaching importance have been made by the German survey ship Meteor, which has arrived from a cruise in the South Atlantic- since April. ' The scientists aboard report that the submarine currents were scientifically calculated for the first time. They found that warm water from the North Atlantic flows at a great depth to two thousand miles south of the equator, when it rises to the surface. The Soilt’li Polar current flows north, ami the strata between the currents bearfood which whales and other fish foblow.
