COLLIERY INCIDENT. POLICE AND STRIKERS FIGHT. 3Y CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received July 17, 12.35 p.m. LONDON, July 16. Five thousand strikers surrounded arock colliery at Glynewth, Glamorgan, where 700 men were still working and refused to disperse. The police were summoned, and in a collision with the strikers sixteen were injured. The miners eventually decided to cease work and the colliery has been brought to a standstill.—Reuter.
