DUNEDIN WATERFRONT DISPUTE AN IDLE FLEET. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, July 16. A complete deadlock continues on the Dunedin waterfront, the-men declining to work the Kawatiri and the employers refusing to_ engage any labour whatever till this is done. The coasters Holmdale, Progress, Kotare and Kamo have augmented the idle fleet. Through the detention of vessels until the Kawatiri is started upon the companies are sustaining a loss running into hundreds of pounds. The ‘berthage cost is comparatively small -as compared with the general expenses, of which wages to the officers and the crew form no mean part.
