Sidev (Dunedin South), made i I-re-appearance in the House of Her/sentatives to-night, iii moving the s econd reading ot tile 11, Mr Sidey said he would not speak length on the measure. It was a mila.r Bill to that introduced last assion, and the arguments in its ta,onr s till held good. In addition, however, there was the fact that the sum-mer-time had been adopted in the Old Country, where it was now an accepted fact. . .. Mr W. S. Glenn (Rangitikei) expressed the agrarian objection to the Bill by saying lie was not going to J waste any sympathy over the Bill, hut he would oppose it by every means in hi,, power. The Bil] was not wanted in the country. Mr F. F. Hockley (Rotorua) said the objections to the Bill were just as strong this yea.r as they were last session. when the Bill wa s rejected by a satisfactory majority. The Bill was read a second time.
