Justices MaeOregor, Al.pers and Otstler are taking a Wanganui case, .and the Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout), with Mr. Justice Sim and Mr. Justice Herd.ni.an a case from Waipukurau. About GO citizens and members of the business community of Masterton tendered Mr. C. E. Daniell, a prominent leader in civic and social life, a luncheon as an expression of appreciation of what he had done for the town and district, and sympathy for him in the recent loss he sustained through the destruction by fire of his sawmill, which was situated within the borough. The Mavor (Mr. T. Jordan), who presided, said that Mr Daniell. who was affectionately known to some as the uncrowned King of Masterton, had always been keenly interested in anything affecting the town, and his boundless enthusiasm and energy had been an in. spiration to others.
