GIRLS WANT, ADVENTURE. • TREK THROUGH AFRICA. MELBOURNE, June 3. Two girls, both in their twenties, have decided to dress themselves in high boot; and breeches, and walk from Cane town to Cairo. They are Miss Doll* Dinham and Miss Mildred Holmes. Miss Dinham is a Sydney girl, who has spent most of her 22 years in Tasmania and Melbourne. She has bobbed golden hair, soft grey eyes, and is fully 4ft. 6in. tall. She is publicity manager for a motor-cycle company, and a short story writer. Miss Holmes is also shingled—and a Queenslander. They leave next week on a cargo boat for Capetown, but they have no definite plan after reaching Africa. All they know is that they want to go through the wildest parts of the eountrv, and if they meet with a lion. Miss Dinham says she supposes they will have a shot at it. On reaching Cairo they will take ship to the south of France, and thence to England. Eatery they pronose a motor-cycle trip through Europe. They both speak French and Spanish fluentlv.
