The, Auckland Rugby team to play Poverty Bay at Gisborne, is: Goodacre, Lucas, Cooke, Broderick, McGregor, Hook, McManus, Keene, Palmer, Finlayson, A. Knight, Webber, Ale Williams, Kearv, Batty. No Aucklanders are available for nomination for the inter-island match. [ Followers of Rugby in South Taranaki will join in congratulating Ivan McGregor, former Hiiwefaj Athleticand Taranki five-eighth, on his, selection in the first- Auckland provincial side of the season. McGregor was a rep-player before he caiiie to Taranaki, and it is quite on the- cards that he may be something higher Still before his football days are over. With his All Black brother Noil and another brother, St.an, a tireless front row forward in Christchurch, Ivan McGregor learned, his football at the Gore High School. In his schooldays lie played half; but he is equally gj?od iii any inside back -position. Unlike last- season \s Taranaki selectors, Auckland- is not asking him to play wing threequarter.] TARANAKI RUGBY UNION. MEETING OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. Two or three matters were dealt- with at the special meeting of the Union hist night. There was a good attendance of delegates, and Air J. McLeod presided. Eltham Club made application for the transfer of S. C. Songster from Kaponga. to Eltham juniors. This was agreed to subject to tf a clearance by Kaponga. SELECTORS OF REP. TEAAIS Air Hugh Good was appointed selector in, place of C. Brown, resigned. He will act- with Messrs W. A. Guy and J. McLeod, but in case Air Guy finds himself unable to act he is to appoint a. substitute. Air Guy explained that he was appointed a selector of the North,’lsland,tea-m and it might be that lie would be unable to act in both capacities.
