Edward Winter, aged 64, a labourer employed by the Public Works Department at Tai-ras, died at Alexandra yes_ terday as a result of falling on the footpath. TRAMWAY HOLD-UP. CHRISTCHURCH, Juy IS. A serious dislocation of tramway traffic occurred last night through a telegraph cable falling across and snapping the trolley wires on the Papanui line. Repairs took nearly three hours to complete. DAIRY CONTROL BOA HD. './ WHANG AREI, July 14At a meeting in Whangarei of dairymen representing a wide radius, and addressed by Mr. W. Grounds, the following resolution was adopted without dissent: “That this representative meeting of dairymen gives its full support to the Dairy Produce Export Control Board and considers it should be given a fair trial.” BODY OF MISSING MAN FOUND. NEW PLYMOUTH, June 14. The body of Walter Peters, a farmer who disappeared on July 2nd, was found in the harbour this morning, but there was nothing to indicate how it came to be there.
