Iu the Chamber the Socialists again opposed, but the Budget was eventually carried by 421 to 150 substantially as amended by the Senate. The Bill is now being bandied about between the Houses, which were still sitting at 6.15 this morning, when it was returned to the Senate for the sixth time.

An agreement between the Senate and the Chamber was reached when the Budget was finally approved. Both Houses adjourned for the summer recess.
