ADDRESS-1 N-RE’PLY DEBATE. LABOUR AMENDMENT LOST. LIRERAiLS DO' EOT VOTE. {.BY TFiLKGEArti PREBS ASSOCIATION WELLINGTON, July 10. The debate on the Address-iu-tßeply way resinned in the House oi Representatives yesterday alter noon, the speakers being Messrs. Langstone, Girling, McKeen, and Bitchener. The latter was the last, speaker on Mr. Holland’s, amendment, and at 8 o’ clock a division was called for. Before the doors were locked the Liberals walked out of the Chamber, Messrs. Poland and Ajtamotre alone remaining on that side of the House. On the. division being taken, the voting was: For the .amendment, 18 Ao-ainst the amendment, 38. Those voting for the amendment were the seventeen members of the official Labour Party, plus Mr. Poland. Air. Atrnore voted with the Government. After the division the debate was resmmeck by Messrs. Ransom and Nash, the House adjourning at 9.45 p.m.
