Other guests included the Governor-General, Mr Hea'y, a representative of Mr Cosgrave, *a senator, the Earl of Mayo, an Ulster member of the House of Commons, Sir Robert Lvnn and a number of prominent nonIrish citizens. The Duke ot lork, who was warmlv welcomed, made a speech dwe’ling on the distinction won by living Irishmen in various spheres. Mr Healy, in his speech, said that the turmoil and distress which used to prevail in South Ireland had so wrung the heart of Hi s Majesty that it was through him that the approach towards a truce had been possible.— Reuter.
