Early on Sunday morning, however, the marathon programme stopped. and by noon to-day the pianist and his associates were nowhere to be seen, causing uneasiness to Hie .landlord, the owner of the piano and several other persons, including one of the local fishmongers, all of whom would have preferred certain little matters of business to have been attended to sooner. It is certain that, those who paid for admission on Friday and Saturday did not see the “world’s champion’’ at his best.
