WEDDING.

F A R Q U H A l l —M cC ARRISON. A very quiot but pretty wedding was celebrated at the residence of the bride’s parents, Mr and Airs S. R. Farquliar, Eithani Road, Awatuna, on June 26, when Elizabeth Fleming, eldest daughter, was married to Thomas McCarrison, youngest son of the late Mr J. McCarrison and Mrs McCarrison, a!tham Road, Te Kiri. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a cream satin, ohanneuse frock with deep collar of radium face, draped to the side with .orange blossoms. Her elegant toilette was com pleted with a delicate veil of silk tulle, hand embroidered, which was effectively arranged and secured with a wreath of orange blossoms. The bridal bouquet •was composed of rich cream chrysanthemums, jonquils and maiden-hair fern, with the customary streamers of cream ribbon. The bride was attended by her sister Ruby, who wore a becoming frock of lemon si-'k taffeta, with a hat of black georgette and satin. Her bouquet consisted of pale yellow chrysanthemums and maiden-hair fern. The bridegrom was accompanied by his brother Henry, who fulfilled the duties of best man.

The ceremony, conducted by the Rev. Mr Moore, Opunake, took place in the drawing-room, which was prettily decorated for the occasion by the sisters of the bride. The music was supplied by Miss Marie Farquhar. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at a sumptuous wedding breakfast, when the usual toasts were honoured. Later the happy couple left by ear en route for the south. The bride’s travelling costume was of navy bine serge, embroidered in blue and black silk, with a hat of black pan velvet to match.
