OBITUARY.

MR HERBERT GRAVES. The many friend s in Hawera district will learn with regret of the death in Christchurch of Mr Herbert Graves, formerly a resident of Hawera. for 30 years. Mr Graves left Hawera for Christchurch. only a few weeks back, and about a week ago was taken seriously ill, lingering until ■ this morning. Mrs Graves was in Wellington when his death took place. Dr. Philip Graves went to Christchurch on receipt of the news of his father’q illnes, and was with him when he died. Dr. Graves is the only child. To Mrs Graves and him will go out much sympathy in their sorrow.
