Newton King, Ltd., advertise a clearing sale on behalf of Messrs Dumbell and Mansfield to be held at Oaonui on the Sth inst. There are 28 good dairy" cows in the herd, and there is a full range of farm implements, all of which are in splendid order. A 4-cow Ridd milking plant witli 24 h.p. Lister engine is also to be sold.
At Ratapiko on the 6th inst, Newton King, Ltd., are conducting a big clearing sale on behalf, of Mr G. H. Old. This sale offers ail excellent' opportunity for farmers to buy at, for there are over 100 cows in the herd and they are . a real good lot. The bigger the sale the better chance buyers have of suiting their requirements. In. addition to the cows, there is a line of springing heifers, also horses, implements, etc. See auction advertisement in our columns for full particulars. The Farmers’ Co-op. draws attenlar attentio nto the sales taking place next week. Mr G. W. Gane (on Monday), has a- very select herd;. Mr Jas. MePhillips (on Tuesday), whose herd has averaged over 3001bs fat; also, the well-known herd of Mr A. Ward (on Wednesday), whose is 3301bs fat per head for the past three seasons. These cows are very heavy producers and early calvers. On Thursday, on account of Mr P. Duggan, Nolan Road, Hawera, his very choice -herd of prac- * ticallv all second calvers. These are particularly nice young cows, all July and August calvers. On Friday, on account of Mr 0. T. Parry, Manaia Road, Manaia. whose record producing herd has produced tf26lbs. butter-fat per acre off 76 acres. Full particulars of these v sales' are advertised in this issue. Newton King, Ltd., draw the attention of clients to the unreserved sale of dairy stock on behalf of Mrs C. W. Schwieters at their Kaponga yards on Monday next, July 6, particulars of which appear in our advertising columns. The herd has been carefully tested and culled, and is a particularly fine lot of young dairy cows of mixed breeds, including a few nice Jersey cross beasts, and dairymen requiring a few good producing animas would do well to attend. Sale at 1 o’clock. On Wednesday next a sale of household furniture and effects is. to be held at 70 Victoria street, on account of Mr \. E. Gorton, who is leaving to take an his residence in Wellington. Included in the lots to be auctioned is v ; some valuable oak and rimu furniture, carpets and general household effects, all of which will he on view on morning of sale. Messrs R. P- Morrissey and Co. have been entrusted with the sale, from whom further particulars may be obtained. Particulars will be found in our advertising columns. On Tuesday next the same firm will hold a special sale of crockery, glassware, aluminium and f:incy' ware on account of a business house that is going out of this class of stock. The goods will he >n view on Tuesday morning, and the sale is timed to start at 1.15 o’clock punctually.
