Lenglen defeated Gilbert and Miss Ale Kane, G—l, G —2. The winners go to the semi-finals. They were not extended, the English pair being outplayed throughout. Borotra with marvellous speed and terrific smashes at the net overshadowed Millie. Lenglen. BRITISH DAVIS CUP TEAM. LONDON. July 2. Croloroos, Godlree, Turnbull and Wbateley will play against France in the Davis Cup match at Eastbourne.
