SERIOUS ALLEGATIONS.
MADE AT MEETING OF CREDITORS
(BY' TELEGRAPH. PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, July 2. Sensational allegations of corrupt practices were made at a meeting of creditors of E. Ginsberg to-day. Seventy creditor]. were present, including fifty solicitors. It was alleged that Ginsberg, "who had been carrying on the business of an indent agency known as the Belgrave Novelty Company, had employed travellers and others who put down bonds of sums mostly in the vicinity of £2OO. These bonds, when they left their employment, it was alleged, were retained by Ginsberg. Debtor was subjected to a long bombardment of questions, and it was ascertained that his assets were nil. His counsel said that moneys might be forthcoming, but these would not pay the whole of the Ijoruls bacic. The meeting decided to request Ginsberg to file a petition in bankruptcy within 48 hours. The names and addresses of the creditors were taken with a view to assisting the police in their investigations. To-night Ginsberg was arrested on a charge of stealing £IOO, which he held in trust for W. H. Trilford. Other charges are said to be pending.
