Sheep.—Extra heavy prime wethers made £2 Os 6d to £2 4s for a pen ot well finished sheep. Heavy prune wethers 38s to 40.5, medium and light wethers 34s 6tl to 37* Gd, others 30s to 345., be*t heavy prime ewes sold from 32s to 30s, medium 28s to 31s, others 18* to 375. Piers. —A short market .sold under keen 0 competition at advanced prices. Heavy and medium baconers nrado £4 Us to £4 12s, light baconers and heavy porkers £3 12* to £4 ss, medium and light porkers’ £2 10® to £3 10s. Lamb®. —There was an average yarding. Heavy prime! made £1 10s. to £1 13s. .medium qualify £1 7s to £1 9s fid. STOCK SALES.
DUNEDIN, July 1. There were moderate yardings in all departments at Burnside stock sale toclay and current prices were sustained. In* the case of pigs, however, values appreciated considerably. Cattle. The demand was brisk throughout, and although prices showed a decline of 20s a head at the commencement they finished about 5s a head above those ruling a week ago. Best bußocks made from £lB to £22 10s. prime bullocks £l3 5s to £IG 10s, medium £ll 10s to £l3, extra prime, heifers £9 15s to £lO 7s fid, medium heifers £6 5s to £7 10s, cows about £S 10s. , . . Fat Sheep.—\ allies were somewhat erratic. Extra prime heavy 49s 3d, lighter sorts 32s to 3Gs, prime heavy ewes from 31s fid to 335, lighter ewes 21s to 28s. Fat Lambs. —The rates showed litte change from those of last week. Prime lambs made from 39s 3d to 41s, prime 31s 3d to 35s 3d, medium 24s 9d to 275. Pigs.—Heavy baconers made from £5 15s to £G 4s, light baoners £4 15s to £5 l()s. heavy porkers to £4 10s. Baconers sold at equal to 9Jd to 10d, and porkers TOd to lid a pound. PRICES AT ADDINGTON.
Fat Lambs. —There were a few lines of fat lambs, which made schedule Fat Sheen. —Extra prime wethers 51s Id, prime 43s to 46s fid, medium 39s fid to 42s fid. light 33s to 495. extra prime ewes 48s Id, prime 35s to 38s, medium 31s to 34s fid, light 26s to 30so aged 21s to 255. Fat Cattle. —Extra prime steers £2O to £23 7s fid, prime £ls 15s to £lB, medium £l3 15s to £ls 12s fid. light £9 to £l3 10s, rough £7 15s to £9 10s, extra prime heifers £ll 17s fid, prime £9 5s to £ll, ordinary £5 10s to £9. extra prime cows £ll 7s fid, prime £8 10s to £lO 15s, ordinary £6 to £8 ss, light £4 10,s to £5 15s, rough £3 10s t<T£4 7s fid. _ Dairy Cattle.—Only really good cattle sold at all readily.
