THE CHRISTCHURCH ACCIDENT. V INQUEST RESUMED. j (BY TELEGRAPH. PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH. June 30, At the resumed inquest this morning on the- circumstances surrounding the death of Station Officer J. H. Noblett, who was ki.lled in a collision on Jiine. 8, William Lowe,..chief motor mechanic, said that while the fire engine was approaching the.corner of Oxford Terrace and Madras Street lie saw a car approaching, and considered that he had ample time to pass it. The engine was, doing about IS miles per hour and the car was going fairly fast. Nohlett was standing on the running hoard holding on to a seat. Witness had no, time to put on the brakes before the collision occurred. . > The case is proceeding. \
