GOL. MCDONALD’S CHARGES 1 . (IIY TEJ.FGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION - .) WELLINGTON, June 30. 1 The local branch of the R.S.A. discussed the Dominion Council’s iinding on Colonel McDonald’s - charges, which, in almost every case,- were sustained. Opposition was offered to the Council's verdict, but the mover could, not obtain a seconder. -Colonel McDonald himself spoke, and said that in one case a document was falsified, and, Unit influence had been used to burke discussion. Eventually it was pointed but that the Council still had the matter in hand, and the meeting could not do .anything one way o, r the other, and this view was accepted.
ANOTHER WIRELESS RECORD,
GISBOKNE, June 30. Radio station, 2 AC, operated by Mr : Ivan O’Meara, who has worked stations in seventeen; different countries, lias established two-way communication with a station in Algeria, a country never before worked, by New Zealand operators. The station was 8 ALGin Algeria, operated by a Frenchman. • Both stations were operating on 37 metres. ~ ' • ■ ■
