WINTER SHOW.
GREAT DISPLAY IN ALL SECTIONS SPECIAL RAILWAY FACILITIES. Preparations are going ahead rapidly; for the [Winter Show for South Taranaki at Hawera, which will open on Tuesday next. The outstanding feature will be, of course, the publicity for Hawera and| Mt. Ejgmont, which i s being specially stressed throughout the week. The display of pictures and photographs being made by the Government Publicity- Department is one of the best and largest ever made at any show. It will cover views of every part- of the. Dominion, illustrating all its resources!—farming, business, tourist, sporting, scenic, mountain, field and river, and from every other viewpoint. The display will ■give* visitors to the *show an excellent and oomprehenaive* idea* of all the Dominion has to offer.
In the dairying, motoring, machinery, poultry and home industries sections there will he endless variety, as every available foot of space, has been filled. Ass usual-the executive* have arranged to -stage football matches on Wednesday and' Saturday. The Wellington match is on Wednesday, July 1, and the match* on Saturday, July 4, should attract a large crowd' of visitors. To suit the convenience of visitors the Railway Department has made special facilities for travellers to* Hawera. The usual 4.15 p.m. Hawera—New Plymouth train will leave Hawera at 4,45 p.m. and the usual 4.10 p.m. train* to Wanganui will'leave at 4-.50 p.ni. A special train* will leave Waitara* 7.50 a.m., and- a* return train Will connect with the Hawera—New Plymouth train at 8.15 p.m.
