Hampshire in its first innings made 166 (Mead 55, Tennyson not out 53). Parkin took four for 78 and McDonald four for. 34. In the second innings it made 239 (Tennyson 75). Lancashire won by nine wickets. Cambridge in its first innings against Sussex made 543 (Dawson 140, Bennett 88, Entheven 75, Crawley 60). In the second innings it made 24 for one wicket. Sussex in the first innings made 208 (Parks 65). Entheven took four for 65 and Meyer four for 48. The second innings netted 358 (Bowley 121, Watson 57, Newbury not out 50). Playing for Kent against Warwick, Harding made 114, and Woolley 136 not out. Wright took six for 62. For Warwick, Calthorpe took six for 17. Kent won.
