The match was played against Surrey, which in the first innings made 477 (Hobbs 111, Ducat 128, Shepherd 133). Creswell took five for 153. Surrey \ won by an innings and 111 runs. Lancashire in the first innings made 400 (Makepeace 65, Watson 91, Green 61). Jameson took seven for 92. In the second innings it made eight runs for one wicket. Hampshire in its first innings made 166 (Mead 55, Tennyson not out 53). Parkin took four for 78 and McDonald four for. 34. In the second innings it made 239 (Tennyson 75). Lancashire won by nine wickets. Cambridge in its first innings against Sussex made 543 (Dawson 140, Bennett 88, Entheven 75, Crawley 60). In the second innings it made 24 for one wicket. Sussex in the first innings made 208 (Parks 65). Entheven took four for 65 and Meyer four for 48. The second innings netted 358 (Bowley 121, Watson 57, Newbury not out 50). Cambridge won by nine wickets. Playing for Yorkshire against -Leicester, Sutcliffe made 129 and Holmes 194. Macaulay took six for 34 in the first innings and Kiluer five for 56. Yo rk sh ire wo n.

Playing for Kent against Warwick, Harding made 114, and Woolley 136 not out. Wright took six for 62. For Warwick, Calthorpe took six for 17. Kent won.

For Northants against Glamorgan, Thomas took six for 28 and for Glamorgan Mercer took six for 47. Northanttf won. For Worcester against Derby, Boot took five for 92. Derby won. —Reuter.
