HAWERA MEN’S GRUB. PATRON’S TROPHY. The competition for the patron’s trophy, always a. popular event, was of two rounds of eighteen holes, medal handicap. The best cards returned were as below :—- Moss, Ist round 89, '2nd round 108, gross total 197, handicap (each round) 16, nett 165; Lane, Ist round, i 93, 2nd 100, gross total 193, handicap 14, nett 165; Meyrick, Ist round 113, 2nd 100. gross total 213, handicap 24, nett 165; L. Quin, Ist round 83, 2nd S 3, gross total 166, scr., nett 166. To decide the winner a medal round of 18 holes will be played on Saturday, 27th inst. RAWER A MEN’S CLUB. This week’s competition will he a bogey handicap, and it is to be hoped that as many members as possible will take part and put in a card. This . would serve to. increase very much the interest in the season’s events.
