OBITUARY
There passed away last month in the Napier Hospital Robert John Winthrop, of New Plymouth, at the early age of 4.4 years. The deceased gentleman was a grandson of the late Mr. J. Benny, of Soutlib ridge, Canterbury, where he .spent most of his childhoodl and the second son of Mrs J. Sevaney, St. Albans, Christchurch. He received his education an the Southbridge District High School. He married Miss Cleary, of Oaraara, and settled in Ashburton, later moving to the North Island. Hiiis kind and genial hospiftlality made him a favourite with all who were privileged to know him. He is survived by. his widow and a family of eleven, four sons .and seven daughters. Air. J. Wiirutihrop, of Aron-side, COiris-tohurcli, and Air. B. H. Wimthrop, of Inglewood, Taranaki, are brothers of the deceased. '
