FREIGHT REMISSION
A COMPLEX TARIFF
READY FOR CIRCULATION

WELLINGTON, June 18. Proposals for the revision of the railway tariff have been submitted by the Pail wav Board to the Minister for Railways, who is circulating copies among representative bodies of railway users for their criticism. It has not vet been found possible to make any explanation of the proposed changes,, as the tariff is complex, but it is understood that when the timber millers and local authorities which use; the radway for the haulage of road metal see what the Board proposes that they will make representations to the Government. . „ , . , ' The tariff, it is officially explained, is not in final shape, not having received the approval of the Cabinet at the present stage.
