“The Easter tournament was again a great success, although the weather conditions were not too good at the start. The latter is especially deserving of mention, as the players were for the most part beginners, the skip himself being a youngster at the game. “A social held by the chib on May 20 was an outstanding success, and to those who contributed musical and other items, and the committee responsible for carrying the function out, hearty thanks are due. The club will benefit by £3 ,10s.

“Mr J. Parkinson was appointed caretaker last season, and be gave every satisfaction. The green has been topdressed, .and so far looks remarkably well. It is as well to mention that Rule 3 has been altered to the effect that five of the general committee must lie guarantors to the bank. It- wiII be necessary to elect two deelgntes to the centre.”

Alter the reading of the report and balance-sheet, a discussion was held. After a brief discussion the report and balance-sheet were adopted. A resolution was passed instructing the club’s delegates to the centre to oppose the suggestion of the Manawatu centre that .as there appeared to he too many tournaments taking place, one tournament should he held alternately in each of the centres in the three districts of Taranaki.
