A hookey match was played at Mamba yesterday between teams iepresenting Elthain and Manaia, and was most exciting, and eoiue sp.emliu play was witnessed-. T'iie game resulted in a win for Elthain by 3 goals to 1. Elthain scored after 20 minute*’ play by a' well-directed .shot by Irwin, who was playing a very fine game. Shortly afterwards R. , Howard (Manama) equalised the score .with a fine shot. After some strenuous play Irwin, of Eiitham, again shot a goal. During the second half Irwin again scored., making <the three goals to him. For Manaia A. Wilson, Rev. Smith,. S. Greaves, 'Ransom bros., and Crawford Watson as goall-keeper deserve special credit.
