FOOD COUNCIL.
CHAIRMANSHIP REFUSED. BY CABLE—PR.BSS ASSOCIATION— COPYRIGHT Received June 12, 12.20 p.m. LONDON, June 11. It is understood that Mr F. H- Coller resigned because he could not accept the chairmanship of the F°'° < t Council, which would have no statutory powers or authority. It is reported that JVLr Coller is likely to take up an important position with Lever Bros. —A. and N.Z. Assn.
A previous message stated that Mr Frank Herbert Colier, C. 8., had been invited by the Premier to become chairman of the new Food Council. He not onlv declined, but resigned from the Civil Service. The reason is not disclosed. Mr Colier was Prize Court- Judge in 1914. He served in the Ministry of Food from its inception in 1917 to its cessation in 1921. He was secretary to. the Board of Trade (Food Department) 1921-22.
