CHARABANC OVERTURNS.
FALLS THIRTY FEET.
SEVEN PEOPLE KILLED

LONDON, June 10. A charabanc which was carrying York municipal officers to a picnic overturned on a steep hill.isde and fell 30 feet into a moorland stream at a place called the Devil’s Bridge. Five men arid two women were killed and manyinjured. . Before descending the hill the driver of the charabanc dismounted and asked the passengers to block the rear wheel with a stone, hut he lost control in descending, and the charabanc crashed through the high parapet of tiie bridge and landed upside down, pinning the occupants in the cage under the water. . Frantic shrieks from the imprisoned men and women were maddening to the excursionists in other charabancs, who were helpless to rescue thenfriends. Finally, a charabanc rushed to Skipton and "brought back a. crane. It is a marvel the loss of life was not greater.
